Aspakrindo – ABI, the Indonesian Blockchain and Crypto Asset Traders Association, has embarked on its flagship program, the Bulan Literasi Kripto (BLK) 2024, with a series of roadshows across five major cities in Indonesia, including Bandung, Yogyakarta, Malang, Surabaya, and Medan, following the successful opening event on May 2.
The BLK 2024 roadshow, running from May 6 to 29, aims to reach over a hundred of participants in each session. This program focuses on spreading literacy and education about blockchain and crypto assets extensively to the Indonesian public and directly engaging with communities involved in the blockchain and crypto asset ecosystem.
The roadshow will cover various topics related to the blockchain industry, ranging from Bitcoin halving, blockchain digitalization, to crypto investment education, with different discussions in each city. This event is supported by various leading crypto companies in Indonesia and the world, such as DCT Token, INDODAX, Tokocrypto, Liminal, Tether, as well as organizations like CFX, AFTECH, and KADIN.
“Through this roadshow series, we are present and optimistic about expanding the understanding and knowledge of the community regarding crypto assets. This way, the acceptance of crypto assets can improve in the future and become an investment instrument for the public. Together, we strengthen the foundation of an inclusive and empowered crypto industry,”
Robby, Chairman of Aspakrindo – ABI
To engage a wider audience, Aspakrindo – ABI has invited various communities from each city and university to participate in this BLK roadshow, including Crypto Indo Jogja, Arofx Academy, Volubit ID Community, Crypto Bandung Community, Valuble ID Community, Evolution Trading, Upsidebit, Cryptosiast, Kebun Online, and others.
The opening event was attended by Hasan Fawzi (Executive Head of Supervision of Financial Technology Innovation, Digital Financial Assets, and Crypto Assets OJK), and Kasan (Acting Chairman of Bappebti). In his speech, Kasan informed that the value of crypto transactions in the first quarter of 2024 reached Rp158 trillion. This amount jumped four times compared to crypto in the first quarter of 2023.
Furthermore, he also emphasized that crypto asset trading has significantly contributed to state revenue in the tax sector. For the first quarter of 2024, the tax office reported that crypto taxes had collected Rp112.93 billion. These developments underline the importance of initiatives like Bulan Literasi Kripto in educating the public and promoting responsible participation in the crypto market.
As media partners, Coinvestasi and CoinDesk Indonesia will play a crucial role in promoting and covering the BLK events, helping to raise awareness and educate the public about the importance of crypto literacy. Through their platforms, they will provide extensive coverage of the roadshows, seminars, and other activities organized as part of BLK, reaching a wide audience of crypto enthusiasts, investors, and industry professionals. This content will not only serve to inform their audiences but also to inspire and educate, encouraging more people to get involved in the crypto ecosystem.
